Guide to german bombers

As we are often at disadvantage in combat we must take every opportunity to kill enemy bombers quickly and effectively when they appear.

General tips

Stay as fast as you can during your attack. That will somewhat protect you from enemy gunners and fighters.
Have a wingman so you can concentrate on your attack.
The preferred method of attack is frontal attack. You can kill enemy pilot and you take very little risk of being shot at. You should be level or higher than enemy bomber. It's not easy to get into this position however.
If your plane has a water cooled engine turn away from a bomber before you pass it.
Tune your joystick so that you can fire long bursts from a distance with confidence.

RS-82

The most effective weapon we have but you must come really close to score a direct hit. Set your convergence for rockets to 1000m - they will fly straight.

Ju-88

Surprisingly, Ju-88 is the most vulnerable german bomber. A well placed burst from machine guns will set in on fire. The most weak areas are engines and wing tanks.

FW-189

FW-189 is dangerous enemy. It has two back guns that can often kill you or damage your engine. The best tactics is to start to fire before they will. It's very easy to kill enemy crew even from a distance.
